We measured the power consumption of our entire test systems, except for the monitor, at the wall outlet using a Watts Up PRO watt meter. The test rigs were all equipped with OCZ PowerStream 520W power supply units. The idle results were measured at the Windows desktop, and we used SMPOV and the 64bit version of the POVRay renderer to load up the CPUs. In all cases, we asked SMPOV to use the same number of threads as there were CPU front ends in Task Manager four for the Pentium XE 840, two for the Athlon 64 X2, and so on. The graphs below have results for "power management" and "no power management." That deserves some explanation. By "power management," we mean SpeedStep, PowerNow!, or Cool'n'Quiet. In the case of the Pentium XE 840 CPU, the C1E halt state is always active, even in the "no power management" tests. The Extreme Edition 955 and the P4 Extreme Edition 3.73GHz don't support the C1E halt state or SpeedStep. We have omitted the Pentium D 930 and 950 processors here because we don't have actual samples of these individual chips; our "simulated" versions with an underclocked Extreme Edition 955 are fine for performance testing, but not for power consumption.Generally, systems based on recent AMD processors have consumed quite a bit less power under load than the competing Pentium boxes. That's certainly the case again here. Despite its lower clock speed, the Opteron 165 requires more power under load than the Athlon 64 X2 3800+, perhaps due to its larger onboard cache eating up more power.

karen millen outlet With its passion for fashion and dedication to its social mission, Activyst chose to support girls in sports because research has found that girls that play sports are less likely to get pregnant, stay in an abusive relationship, suffer depression or use drugs. As a result, these active females become a more productive part of society by being stronger leaders and reaching higher levels of education. "Our core company values revolve around supporting the strength and growth of young women to become active and confident members of society. Our goal is to build a brand that will empower women with active lifestyles," said Katie.
The brand's goal of $75,000 is set to be reached by May 5. With ten days to reach their next goal, Activyst has introduced their latest perk. Supporters of the project will not only get limited edition Activyst Active Bag, but also purchase lifetime discounts, have input in future product lines and join the Activyst cofounders in their International efforts to educate and engage young women of the world in active lifestyles. Activyst's global partners include Soccer Without Borders and Girls Gotta Run Foundation reaching young women throughout North, Central and South America, as well as Africa.
Activyst CEO and cofounder Katie Rock, traveled to Nicaragua in 2010 to work for the WHO. While there she began to notice that everywhere she went, she would see boys running and playing, but not girls. The young women and girls of Nicaragua would watch the boys playing sports from their stoops. Katie's goal was to empower these girls and realized that there was a possibility to do this through sports. Cofounders Leigh Orne and Blair Warner joined Katie in this mission and Activyst was born in August 2012.

The bigger recall almost 2.1 million vehicles is to fix a problem with a switch that might stop the brake lights from illuminating when drivers press the brake pedal. This recall affects most of the Korean automakers' models from the 2007 to 2011 model years. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the switch problem might also "cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal."
Hyundai Motors and its Kia Motors affiliate have initiated a voluntary safety recall for more than 2.2 million vehicles in North America including more than 361,000 in Canada for problems related to air bags and brake light safety switches.

Under current law, states can only require stores to collect sales taxes if the store has a physical presence in the state. As a result, many online sales are essentially taxfree, giving Internet retailers a big advantage over brickandmortar stores.

karen millen Guildford Magistrates' Court heard today (4 March) that Majestic Construction Limited was undertaking work above shops to clean stonework and install pigeon spikes.
"Where people are working overhead in a public area they must exclude the public from the work area wherever possible.
The stone struck the pedestrian on the shoulder and knocked him to the ground, as dramatically captured by nearby CCTV cameras.
A mobile elevating working platform (MEWP) was correctly being used for the task, but as it was being repositioned it struck a building and dislodged a chunk of masonry weighing some 8kg that fell almost eight metres to the pavement below.
Magistrates were told that some of the barriers were being moved to provide a safeworking cordon further along the street where the MEWP was headed, but nobody warned the pedestrian to stand back or to be aware of the overhead work.
