Sigh. I like Abrams work in most cases and if I witnessed TV (I you should not, but if its the best series I'll rent it/stream the item later) and I recognize that there are only a lot of threads of original ideas that can be mined. I'm fine with that at the same time. I enjoy when the latest take is done on a well used idea. BUT, I must draw the line should the derivative does not give proper credit for the original idea.
